Title
The Inner Man
Subject
Father's Day Issue
Description
This display dictates what consumer goods signify that the man who owns and displays them is a “Inner Man.” The inner man is someone who keeps inside and needs peace and serenity to power their creative process. So in order to be an inner man, you need a typewriter, an easel for painting, lamps, a portable radio, and book ends to contain all the books that you have. In total this list of requirements costs 301$. Without these material possessions, Esquire is making it clear that you are not a true inner man and therefore are not capable of fulfilling their own creative potential.
